Job Duties: Job Description: The candidate will assist with requirement analysis, gap analysis, functional set-ups, software design, and development, testing and implementation of Oracle applications and interfacing with other systems on any of the operating systems like HP, IBM, SUN, and Windows for commercial clients. Evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements of software systems while under supervision. Coordinate installation and provide maintenance support.
The candidate is typically expected to analyze requirements of the users who will be working on Oracle applications software being developed and implemented. This involves detailed data gathering and analysis regarding what the software is expected to do in the users’ business or activity. The next element of the development is to undertake flowcharting of the program and developing appropriate algorithms (problem solving methods) using knowledge of computer systems, software/hardware architecture, the tools and platforms used in the development and the various development methodologies. The candidate is then responsible for coding, testing and implementing the software while being monitored.
Typically the candidate is expected on a day-to-day basis to work approximately 40% of the time on data analysis, flow-charting and software design, 20% of the time in developing algorithms and 40% of the time in software development and coding.
The candidate is expected to possess knowledge and expertise in several of the following:

Description: The position reports directly to the DBA Manager.
